Jacquie and Baddie, you are both so beautiful and wise.

Ugh the love on this platform is so good. I sometimes have to take a step back and allow myself to accept it. Instead of reject it and say stop it, no you’re beautiful even though I do that in jest, that comes from a place of feeling undeserving and then cloaking it in humor.

I am learning and have gotten better at accepting the love specifically as it relates to being a writer and the ripple of love coming from my written work.

That was a long winded way to say, THANK YOU SHONDRA!!

thanks for shining light into our conversation, BB. I feel seen.

those words of encouragement you showered on me were very needed in that moment. Because i felt like why should i make a mistake like that but your words reminded me to be gentle with my process. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I could go on and on about this topic but I already do through my publications and my book. This is something I pray everyone wakes up to and decides to administer their own fate.

The part about pulling back the onion layers. It stood out to me because I’ve used that analogy before so it really hit home and to hear your giggle really felt comforting.

I have always loved the onion 🧅 analogy because when you cut them it causes this uncomfortable stinging sensation in your eyes which ultimately for some or most makes you cry. I feel like when I use that analogy it is drawing a parallel to something in life that causes that same sensation and that can be figuratively or literally.

I love that perspective of the analogy. I view it as healing not being linear so we will continue pulling back the layers one at a time revealing more of ourselves in a more vulnerable way. And to your point the more you get to the inside of the onion the more sensitive your senses are to it. That’s vulnerability.
