Hey there, beautiful people!
The picture you see here captures a moment of pure, unadulterated joy. It's a joy rooted not just in the beauty around me, but in the unexpected twists and turns of a single summer Sunday.
Photo of me in the garden 🪴
Let me paint a picture for you: the day began with a delicious brunch at Frank and Laurie's on Doyle Street in Providence.Laughter filled the air as I shared stories with two of my dearest friends. Outside, the rain pattered rhythmically against the window, a cool counterpoint to the warmth of our gathering.
Returning home to Westport, the mood remained delightfully damp. Donning a pair of flowy black gauze pants in exchange for the brunch-induced tightness of my skinny jeans, I traded heels for pale pink rain-friendly sneakers. My husband, our dog Kimi, and I piled into the car, destination: Natick, where Don and Martha, his uncle's best friends and neighbors, awaited us.
Their invitation was as sweet as the promise of sunshine breaking through the departing storm clouds. They'd offered us the chance to choose plants from their vibrant garden, a gesture that spoke volumes about their generosity and love for the natural world.
And then, as if on cue, the transformation began. The rain stopped, the clouds parted, and the most glorious summer Sunday unfolded. Bathed in the golden afternoon light, I found myself surrounded by an explosion of life. Lush greens, glistening still from the morning shower, shimmered with a vibrant intensity. The colors were nothing short of delectable,a feast for the eyes that mirrored the one I'd enjoyed earlier.
It's in this moment, captured by the camera, that the true magic lies. My smile isn't just a reaction to the beauty around me, it's a reflection of the connection I feel – a connection that transcends the boundaries of self and nature.
My curly coils mirror the lushness of the foliage, a reminder that I too am a part of this breathtaking tapestry. The awe I experience gazing upon these verdant surroundings is the same awe I have for myself – for the experiences that shape me,the stories I weave with words, and the simple joy of being alive.
This isn't just a picture of a woman standing in a garden; it's a testament to the interconnectedness of all things. It's a reminder that even the most ordinary Sundays, with their unexpected turns and delightful surprises, can become profound experiences of self-discovery.
Looking at this photo now, I'm transported back to that moment of pure, unadulterated joy. It's a reminder to embrace the unpredictable symphony of life, to find connection in the raindrops and sunshine, and to celebrate the beauty that exists within and around us.
With love and a smile,
Baddie
