A Northeast Spring and Summer Love Letter
From Frigid Winters to Vibrant Streets, Why This Season is Uniquely Magical
Hey there, beautiful people!
There's something truly magical about spring and summer in the Northeast. It's a feeling you can only experience if you've lived here, endured the harsh winters, and witnessed the collective sigh of relief as the region bursts back to life.
My colleague, Grace, moved here from California and exclaimed that feeling is one of her favorite parts of living here. I understood her perfectly. She described the energy shift in Brooklyn and I retorted there is a palpable vibrancy that washes over the entire city (in this case) however, this happens throughout the region.
People walk with a newfound spring in their step, smiles are a little wider. It's inspiring to witness this shared experience, a community coming alive alongside the awakening of nature.
This energy doesn't just arrive and fade; it builds with the season. As spring progresses and summer settles in, the warmth becomes an invitation to step outdoors. We bask in the sun-drenched days that melt into balmy nights, perfect for rooftop gatherings, park picnics, and al fresco dining under twinkling lights. (Did I just rhyme, you can’t take the poet out of me!).
The air itself transforms, carrying the scent of sunscreen and the salty tang of nearby beaches, a constant reminder of the season's fleeting beauty.
Speaking of beauty, have you ever witnessed the explosion of flowers in the Northeast? Here, we experience an array of vibrancy, all thanks to the meticulous landscaping projects so many of us undertake (myself included, thanks to my spouse's love for a good project!). Watching those tight buds transform into a breathtaking display practically overnight is a testament to nature's incredible resilience and the joy of witnessing a new beginning.
It's safe to say, I'm steeping in gratitude for Grace’s passionate declaration of her love for Northeast summers. There's a unique charm here, that comes from shared experiences, the rejuvenating power of nature, and the simple pleasures that come with warm weather.
Let's raise a metaphorical glass to soaking up every minute of it!
With Love,
Baddie

Spring is the best time of year in the Northeast!
